The Big C

Today I wanted to share with you one of my favourite televisions shows ever.

The Big C.

In short The Big C follows the life of reserved, suburban wife and mother, Cathy Jamison, in the wake of he terminal cancer diagnosis. Cathy vows to dramatically shake up her life, and face her diagnosis while trying to find humour and happiness.

The characters became like friends to me. I laughed with them, I cried with them, and I was inspired by them.

Cathy Jamison is one incredible person, who inspired me so much with her wonderful words of wisdom.

Here are a few of my favourite words….

It ‘s amazing what a year can do….

A Year

I came across this quote some time ago and never thought much of it.

It wasn’t until I saw it again after visiting a dear friend that I really thought about it.

The friend I was visiting has only been in my life for a little over a year now and I don’t know what I would do without her. Not only has she been a wonderful support to me, we always have a great time together chatting and laughing over a cup of coffee.

I am very lucky to have her in my life.

It also got me thinking about a friend who was a huge part of my life and now I hardly ever see. While I am sad, I understand we both have different lives now.

I will always be grateful for our times together.

It’s amazing what a year can do.

I Know

I Know

I am so sad

and I don’t know¬†why.

It seems that whatever I do

I just want to cry.

I don’t know why

I feel this way.

I realise that you

just could not stay.

I loved you so much

you know it’s true.

But forever I will

be missing you.

And every time that

I shed a tear.

I do know why

because you are not here.

What do you wish there was less of in the world?

What do you wish there was less of in the world?

I came across this question today and it got me thinking.

I of course would love a world where there was less of the many tragedies people are dealing with everyday.

I believe we all play a part in making the world a better place. And while we may be a long way off a world with less violence, hunger and poverty, I can think of one thing I wish there was less of in the world right now….

Judgement – People judging each other by the way they look, where they are from or how they act.

Judging people is something we are all quilty of, sometimes without us even realising we are doing it.

So I am making it my goal to grt to know people, and try and understand their story, becuase at the end of the day….

Stop Judging
