Random Act Of Kindness – Smile At A Stranger

We all know the sayings:

“We all smile in the same language.”

“Smiling is the best way to face every problem, to crush every fear, to hide every pain.”

“A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear.”

But my favourite is….

So today, along with every day….

Smile At A Stranger

What do you wish there was less of in the world?

What do you wish there was less of in the world?

I came across this question today and it got me thinking.

I of course would love a world where there was less of the many tragedies people are dealing with everyday.

I believe we all play a part in making the world a better place. And while we may be a long way off a world with less violence, hunger and poverty, I can think of one thing I wish there was less of in the world right now….

Judgement – People judging each other by the way they look, where they are from or how they act.

Judging people is something we are all quilty of, sometimes without us even realising we are doing it.

So I am making it my goal to grt to know people, and try and understand their story, becuase at the end of the day….

Stop Judging

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

Yesterday I hosted my very first Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to raise money for The Cancer Council.

I have been wanting to this for a while.

My family has had its fair share of Cancer, and I am proud to say they are survivors.

However last year I lost a dear friend from Cancer, and I thought it totally unacceptable that any disease should take away a beautiful young mother of two.

I am very proud to say that from something as simple as inviting a few friends over for coffee, cake and a few laughs we were able to raise just over $300 dollars for a wonderful cause.

My two beliefs when it comes to helping The Cancer Council are:

  1. Any little bit of money you can donate will help.
  2. Together we can beat Cancer

To all the families who Cancer has and is affecting,my thoughts and prayers are with you.
